Sheena von Karben is a stunning, 2-year-old Husky mix with a proud bearing and a beautiful silver/black/white coat. A super sweet girl, Sheena has been on the calm side with us thus far, tho we know many Huskies love to be active.  With tail a-wagging Sheena joins a pack of 5 other dogs on her walk, staying close to you and sniffing some flowers along the way.  This very ladylike, mid-energy girl knows her "sit" command and takes treats gently from your hand, periodically batting her baby-blue  eyes at you for hopes of a butt scratch or ear rub.  In canine playgroups Sheena mingles with a quiet confidence and accepts most dog temperaments. Be the talk of your neighborhood with this beauty by your side!

Per some volunteers:

 Sheena should be a therapy dog, she has calmness about her that is so soothing. Her life hasn’t been easy but she puts it behind her and lives for each day, she knows she is safe now, which she hasn’t always been. She had been a much loved family member with kids and cat, but circumstances beyond her control, she ended up out of options in a County Shelter. An officer who had met Sheens when animal control had to pick her up intervened on her behalf, they knew she was so special, after calling Husky Rescues they called us!  Maybe after you visit her, she just might tell you her whole story! She really likes to focus on what is positive about her life now! Even though she is so hopeful, her new family will come for her soon, she knows she is loved by the volunteers!
